Welcome to February and the rollercoaster of weather patterns. I am originally from Oklahoma where I grew up hearing the famous Will Rogers quote: “If you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, wait a minute and it’ll change.” That is certainly true of many places, especially this time of year. If you think about it that also applies to life in general.

No matter what the weather is like in your part of the world, we are all facing similar challenges in our businesses. “Supply chain” are two words that make even the most seasoned production manager groan. For whatever reason (and there are many) we have been forced to think outside the box to keep production moving. Prices for raw materials have skyrocketed, transportation of goods has been disrupted, and some materials are almost impossible to even find.

As an association, we are striving to provide you with information, resources, support and alternative options for the cleaning part of your process so you can be prepared for sudden changes in the industry and the challenges that come along with them. We are building a community of people with diverse talents, knowledge, and skill sets so none of us face these issues alone. I encourage each of you to check our website often as we build our technical resources knowledge base that includes inside information from experts that tackle a variety of cleaning problems. I also encourage you to take advantage of what I believe is the most valuable benefit we can offer: Community – people to lean on, to answer questions, and to share experiences with.

Stay warm, stay dry, keep cool, and keep calm!
