This opportunity comes only once a year, so make plans to attend the 2005 Annual Meeting, October 15-19, 2005. The Hyatt Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs is one of the newest resorts on Florida's southwest coast, conveniently located between Fort Myers and Naples. The beautiful, state-of-the-art facility is the perfect location for this year's meeting where industry peers will come together to seek answers to the challenges facing the precision machined products industry.

Daily education sessions will address critical issues such as business ethics, globalization, trade agreements currency issues and life skills. These sessions will reach out to each attendee and address their concerns as business owners and leaders.

"Our businesses and our people learn so much from one another through PMPA," says Dennis Basler, PMPA 2004-2005 president and president of E.J. Basler Company, Inc. (Schiller Park, Illinois). "The annual meeting is a gathering place where the best minds in this industry come together to network and then return to their businesses re-energized and informed."

PMPA's Education Foundation will hold its 4th annual golf outing on Monday, October 17 at the Raptor Bay Golf Club beginning at 1 p.m. Foursomes are random selections, so players of all skill levels can participate in this relaxed format. If you're interested in being a sponsor for the golf outing, please contact either Rob Kiener or me, Mike Duffin, at (440) 526-0300.

The 2004 Education Foundation Golf Outing raised more than $17,000 to fund training initiatives for the precision machined products industry. During the past year, the Education Foundation Board awarded numerous grants to applicants representing companies and vocational schools.

By now, every member should have received the PMPA annual meeting brochure. If you'd like additional information, visit www.pmpa.org and select the "Annual Meeting" link for the complete conference program and registration form. If you have any questions, contact Rob Kiener at rkiener@pmpa.org, June Roesch at jroesch@pmpa.org or call (440) 526-0300.
