NIMS recently hosted a series of apprenticeship accleartor workshops.

A registered apprenticeship is a proven work-and-learn model for preparing future leaders in manufacturing. NIMS recently hosted a series of apprenticeship accelerator workshops at the organization’s headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the course of a day, employers, community colleges, and industry associations from across the nation learned how to develop, implement, and register an apprenticeship program. Members of the Department of Labor – Employment and Training Administration provided their insight on the DOL program registration process, including an overview of the DOL Standards Builder and RAPIDS systems.

The next apprenticeship accelerator workshop is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, 2017.  To register for the workshop or for more information on apprenticeship in manufacturing, visit mfgapprenticeship.com.  A full list of upcoming events is available on the “Events” tab.
