Still with nine months to go before the show, EMO Hannover 2017 exhibitor registration is heading to new heights. Credit may be due both to important technology trends and to the show’s location.

With about nine months before EMO Hannover 2017 begins, the figures for official exhibitor registration are looking rather impressive. More than 1,700 companies from 40 different countries have registered for this important trade fair for the metalworking sector, booking an exhibition area totaling well over a million and a half square feet for the period from September 18 – 23, 2017 in Hannover, Germany. The current registration numbers are significantly above the comparable result of the previous event. “It looks very much as if the EMO Hannover 2017 will end up with a record number of exhibitors,” EMO General Commissioner Carl Martin Welcker says.

He states that one of the reasons for the substantial rise is the return of the show to Hannover. He also says that the early-registration offer presented to the exhibitors for the first time has had a strong effect. Not only have German manufacturers registered for sizeable booths, more notably, so have Asian companies. Overall, Asia currently accounts for more than a fifth of the show’s exhibitors.

Under the motto of “Connecting systems for intelligent production,” the show will focus on the important trend of digitization and networking—Industry 4.0. Mr. Welcker says, “With our new motto, we’ve certainly hit the bullseye with our exhibitors. Numerous firms can identify with this slogan and will be showcasing their solutions in the field of Industry 4.0, either on their own stands or in the Industry 4.0 Area.”
