I don’t know about you, but most of what I see on TV, reality or not, leaves me cold. When I do tune into something, one of my favorites is “How It’s Made” which runs on the Science Channel. It’s excellent.

Now I find out tthe channel has joined Manufacturing Day (October 4) as the official media partner. Good choice, in my opinion.

Manufacturing Day brings together hundreds of manufacturers to host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses to showcase the reality of modern manufacturing. Seeing is believing. Several national trade associations and sponsors have joined forces to provide centralized support coordination for this national event. It’s a golden opportunity to demonstrate that manufacturing really is cool.
