Production Machining’s April Digital Edition is now available. This issue features emphasis topics of Cutting Tools and CAD/CAM with special coverage of the Aerospace Industry. The cover story is a deep look into how a shop’s programmer contributes to getting and keeping the cutting tool in the cut. For our other feature, we look at one software supplier’s approach to using CAM to optimize resources on the shop floor, such as multitasking capabilities, tooling and automation.

The issue’s Aerospace coverage is a series of brief interviews with PMPA members discussing their views on trends in the aerospace industry and how they are expanding their reach in this segment.

Our Tech Brief discusses a technique for truing tapered diamond grinding wheels that positions the dressing wheel axis at a 90-degree angle to the grinding wheel. This month’s Case in Point visits a shop that designs and fabricates EDM electrodes and has overcome delivery issues with its scheduling software.

Finally, the Last Word column provides clarification on the options surrounding solvent cleaning.
