The cover story profiles a successful shop that was developed through the efforts of its owner to learn all aspects of the business by doing. She has applied the correct technology where it is needed and managed to move a classic screw machine shop forward with CNC single spindle turning centers. Cleaning is loosely defined as the process of removing unwanted contaminants or dirt from a surface. It does not alter the surface physically or chemically. A properly cleaned surface is just the same as it was prior to cleaning, except it is missing the dirt.
