Manufacturer Adds New CNC Machine Tool Product Line

Absolute Machine Tools, Inc. (Lorain, Ohio) has entered into an exclusive marketing agreement with Lih Chang Machinery Co., Ltd of Taiwan to carry its Argo Seiki line of CNC machine tool products in the United States. Argo Seiki is said to offer a complete line of high speed drilling and tapping centers as well as several high speed vertical machining centers. The line is said to offer many exclusive design features on the drilling/tapping centers.

Strategic Partnership In Education. OnCourse Technologies, Inc. (New Berlin, Wisconsin) and Manufacturing Quote, Inc. The site has been completely reformatted, updated and expanded with new features and information. The company says it has improved the site for faster loading and easier navigation based on user traffic studies on the previous site, input from customers and current trends in Web development technology.

Company Celebrates 60 Years In Business. Reynolds Machine and Tool (Bellwood, Illinois) is celebrating its 60th year of being in business. Reynolds Machine and Tool product lines include the Commander Multi Drill, Johnson drill head, Snow Manufacturing, Standard Automatic and more.

Promotions. Todd Wozniak has been promoted to president of Wozniak Industries, a Midwest metalworking firm with plants in Bedford Park, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and Humboldt, Tennessee. Mr. Wozniak had formerly been involved in sales marketing and engineering for the company, and prior to that he taught special education, mathematics and science.

Dennis Haller has been named president of Acro-Feed Industries, Inc. (Detroit, Michigan) and Automatic Tooling Corporation(Detroit, Michigan). Acro-Feed is a designer and builder of automatic bar loaders for multiple-spindle screw machines, while Automatic Tooling Corporation is a manufacturer of tooling and replacement parts for all foreign and domestic multiple-spindle screw machines.

A Different Kind Of Competition. U.S.-based Clausing Industrial, Inc. (Kalamazoo, Michigan) played host to the Michigan Skills USA-VICA competition on April 24th, 2004. The competition is designed to test the precision skills of Michigan’s finest metalworking students. This year, Clausing not only hosted the “job specific competition” but also hosted an “all around competition.”

A total of 36 to 40 qualifying students competed in precision milling, turning, grinding and bench work for a panel of judges from Clausing and Skills USA.
