Romi Machine Tools Ltd. has named Amaury Torres de Miranda as president. He will manage the company’s North American distribution and service facility.

Haas Automation has installed its 75,000th CNC machine tool. “Installation of the 75,000th machine is a special occasion for Haas Automation,” says Bob Murry, general manager. “We’re very pleased that it has been installed at MEPO Minoudis GmbH & Co. MAG Maintenance Technologies has expanded its machine tool remanufacturing services to include Fadal vertical machining centers. Colonial Tool Group Inc. has purchased Advance Cutting Tool Systems, Inc. Brooks Associates (Norwell, Massachusetts), a precision machine tool distributorship, announced the launch of its new line, Willemin-Macodel. SolidWorks Corporation and Comsol have united as solution partners. This program provides SolidWorks 3D CAD users with access to integrated products and services to boost productivity.
