Emco Maier GMBH (Hallein, Austria) and DP Technology (Camarillo, California) have launched a joint CNC programming agreement to cooperatively market the Esprit programming system specifically adapted to fit Emco’s product range worldwide. Esprit, in conjunction with Emco’s machines, will be available in all Emco demonstration centers and will be sold through Emco’s distribution network.

Marubeni Citizen-Cincom (Allendale, New Jersey) has acquired Brookdale Associates (Agawam, Massachusetts). This acquisition will be a joint venture with Citizen Machinery Co. Ltd. and Marubeni Corporation. Brookdale has been a distributor for Marubeni Citizen-Cincom for more than 20 years. With the cooperation of the MCC Tech Center, they have developed many tooling accessories, including the Cool Blaster high-pressure pumps, which have made Cincom products more productive. John J. Healy, CAE, will be the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association ’s new president. Mr. Healy succeeds Ralph Nappi who, after 19 years of service to AMTDA, has moved on to become president of another association.

Mr. Healy is currently CEO of the 360Solutions Group in Washington, D.C., a logistics and supply chain firm serving Fortune 1000 corporate clients and their associations as they address the increasing complexities of their global supply chains. Methods Machine Tools’ new Michigan Tech Center in Wixom is a 36,000-square-foot facility with a 6,000-square-foot showroom, an applications-engineering support staff, region field service and training technicians and a spare parts inventory.
