Earlier this year, our sister publication, Modern Machine Shop, conducted the Top Shops benchmarking survey. It’s the first time the survey has been conducted, and the results are now in. According to Derek Korn, senior editor for MMS, “The goal is to give machining businesses of all types and sizes a chance to see how they stack up against similar companies.”
A total of 183 shops participated in the online survey, and it is expected that those numbers will increase in subsequent editions of the survey as word gets out. Although only the participating shops receive the comprehensive survey data reports, an executive summary of the survey has been prepared and posted on the link below.
