Absolute Machine Tools has established a partnership with Sussex Tool & Supply. Sussex is a distributor of industrial tooling, abrasives, hand and power tools, workholding and machine and building maintenance materials.
Sussex Tool & Supply has locations in Sussex and Madison, Wisconsin, and Rockford, Illinois. With the partnership, Absolute is relocating its Elgin, Illinois, operation to Rockford to better serve customers in both states.
Absolute Machine Tools also is expanding its service and engineering departments to enhance its ability to provide engineered manufacturing solutions. A key addition is a new robotic solutions department that focuses on helping customers implement automation and robotics for tasks such as machine tending and visual part inspection. The goal is to eliminate problems resulting from workforce and skilled labor shortages and enable customers to run lights out, three shifts, 24/7.
