Ecoclean’s EcoCvelox earned a gold German Innovation Award from the German Design Council in the “Machines and Engineering” division of the “Excellence in Business to Business” competition class. Award criteria included the degree of innovation, technical quality and function, user benefit and cost-effectiveness.

EcoCvelox was launched in 2019 as solution for the manufacturing steps of high-pressure water jet deburring, cleaning and drying. Previously, these processes generally required two systems, usually from different manufacturers. The EcoCvelox modular machine provides a combination of high-pressure waterjet deburring and low-pressure parts cleaning processes. The company says that EcoCvelox combines those processes in a single system, and also takes into account the need for adaptability and individualization. This can result in lower costs and fewer operation disruptions.

The unit also scored points for its dynamic transport system and an integrable CAD/CAM interface. High-pressure deburring can be programmed quickly and easily offline, based on design data of the parts to be treated, according to the company.

Initiated and organized by the German Design Council, the German Innovation Award was founded in 1953 by the German Federal Government and is sponsored by the Federation of German Industries. The prize will be awarded for the third time in 2020. The winners were selected by a jury which included physicists, patent consultants, computer scientists, product designers and technology historians.
