Fives Giddings & Lewis Celebrates 160 Years, Wins Award
The company received two awards during its open house event that celebrated its anniversary: one for its success and longevity, another for creating a strong partnership.

Fives Giddings & Lewis’ 160 anniversary open house was attended by approximately 1,000 people, including suppliers, customers, channel partners, media and others from the machine-tool industry to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, at the company’s headquarters.
Fives Giddings & Lewis received a Signature Partner Award from Siemens at a recent open house event.
The company received an award and commemorations for its success and longevity. The Fond du Lac City Council president presented the company with a proclamation commemorating 160 years of business and community involvement. Congressman Glenn Grothman presented a Congressional Commendation congratulating Fives Giddings & Lewis for 160 years and wishing it continued growth. Furthermore, Siemens, one of the supplier partners, presented Fives’ leadership with a Signature Partner Award, thanking the company for a strong relationship.
“The success of the company over the last 160 years would not have been possible without the support of our employees, customers, suppliers, partners and the local community,” says Jason Melcher, chief marketing officer for Fives Metal Cutting/Composites Group.
