Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence to Host Two “HxGN Local” Summits

Both events will take place in October: the HxGN Local Automotive Summit in Novi, Michigan, and the HxGN Local Aviation Summit in Wichita, Kansas.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has announced that the company’s first HxGN Local Automotive and Aerospace Summits will be held mid-October 2017. On Tuesday, October 10, Hexagon will host the day-long HxGN Local Automotive Summit at Novi, Michigan’s Suburban Collection Showplace and the company’s Wixom, Michigan, Solution Center. Then, on Thursday, October 12, Hexagon will host its HxGN Local Aerospace Summit at Wichita State’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR).

Those interested in attending can register for the Automotive Summit or the Aviation Summit online.

The Automotive Summit’s morning program will offer informative sessions on portable metrology, closed-loop manufacturing, quality and automation in composites, and HxGN Smart Quality for automotive applications. Two additional sessions will cover cost-reduction strategies for automotive OEMs and how to outperform automotive check fixturing with automated non-contact measurement. The afternoon schedule will offer live application demonstrations at the Wixom Solution Center.

The day-long Aviation Summit event will feature knowledge sessions covering composite inspection and repair, closed-loop manufacturing and how to use 7DoF to engineer intelligent manufacturing cells. The agenda will also feature a session on shaping automation and HxGN Smart Quality for aerospace applications. In the afternoon, attendees will have access to a range of live measurement solution demonstrations including portable arms and laser trackers. Hexagon and NIAR experts will be on hand to discuss smart quality, reverse engineering, robotics and automation, and other aerospace-related issues.
