World’s Largest ‘Cobot Hub’ Opens in Denmark

At a building site in Denmark, $36 million will be invested in the construction of a major collaborative robot (cobot) hub in the “cobot capital” of the world.

With financial backing from its joint U.S. parent company Teradyne, Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) and Universal Robots (UR) have acquired a 50,000 m2 building site in Odense, Denmark, where $36 million will be invested in the construction of a major collaborative robot (cobot) hub in the “cobot capital” of the world. Cobots are a type of user-friendly robot that can work closely with humans without the need for safety guarding, enhancing both work environment and productivity.




Big Kaiser Announces Promotion, Multiple New Hires

New sales engineers, district and sales managers named at Big Kaiser

Paul Lewis has been promoted to Northeast district manager for the Mid-Atlantic and New England. Mr. Lewis joined Big Kaiser in 2015. His experience in the metalcutting industry spans more than 30 years. 

Richard Bevers joins the team as the Southeast district manager. He will manage North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Before this role, Mr. Bevers worked as an independent manufacturer representative for the company.

Tim Smith, also with previous experience as an independent manufacturer representative with the company, has been named sales engineer for the Southeast District. Mr. Smith will be responsible for Alabama and Georgia.

Jim Mayer will support the tool management system (TMS) department as sales manager. Mr. Mayer formerly held positions at an industry association and in sales.

Mike Jones joins the company as a sales engineer for the Mid-Atlantic region. He will oversee Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Mr. Jones previously worked in the metalcutting industry in sales and as an account manager.




MC Machinery Welcomes New Sales Representatives

 MC Machinery welcomes Shannon Morris and Mark Kauffman as regional sales representatives.  Ms. Morris will use her extensive industry knowledge to support local customers and grow product sales in North/Central Texas and a portion of East Texas.

Mr. Kauffman joins the team as a regional sales representative for Southern California, Nevada and New Mexico. He will use his industry expertise to increase product sales and customer satisfaction.
