GWS Tool Group acquires North American Tool Corp.

GWS Tool Group has acquired North American Tool Corp. (NATC), representing the second add-on acquisition in 2020 for GWS.

With the addition of NATC, GWS further strengthens its reputation as a multi-disciplinary manufacturer of high-performance custom cutting tools.

Tornos Hires Brian Glavanovits

Tornos hires applications and process engineer Brian Glavanovits

Brian Glavanovits has joined Tornos’ Customer Center Chicago as applications and process engineer. 

Mr. Glavanovits started in the tool and die industry manufacturing dies for many industries including electronics, automotive and consumer products. Shortly after, he opened his own shop that made dies and high tolerance machined parts, which led to the machining of more complex parts for medical and aerospace. He joins Tornos with 30 years of experience.




Exact Metrology Opens New Facility

Exact Metrology's Illinois facility serves as a training, support, contract measurement and sales center. 

In March, Exact Metrology opened a new facility in Moline, Illinois. This location will serve as a training, support, contract measurement and sales center. Training will be provided on software packages including PolyWorks, Geomagic and PC-DMIS. Hardware classes will be offered for Romer, Leica Tracker, Surphaser and Leica RTC 360. Exact will also offer a complete range of portable coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and custom classes for any measurement needed. Day classes and half-day classes are available.
