Niigata Welcomes New National Service Manager
Dan Selakovic joins Niigata as national service manager
Niigata Machine Techno USA has named Dan Selakovic as national service manager for its Machine Tool Division. Mr. Selakovic returns to the builder after two decades in the field where he worked as a contractor for Niigata and its customers.
Mr. Selakovic will be overseeing a team of service engineers and technicians as they provide support for Niigata machines throughout North America. Additional responsibilities will include scheduling, supervising machinery installs and making suggestions to Japan for improvements based on feedback from the field.
Renishaw Appoints Denis Zayia to President
Denis Zayia, 33-year industry veteran, is Renishaw's newly appointed president.
Renishaw has announced the appointment of Denis Zayia to the position of president of its USA operations.

A 33-year industry veteran, Mr. Zayia started with Renishaw as coordinate measuring machine business manager in 1995 and became national sales manager for Industrial Metrology in 2008. His previous role was vice president, sales and marketing, where he was responsible for Renishaw's line of Industrial Metrology and Additive Manufacturing products.
Mr. Zayia replaces Howard Salt, who, while turning over the responsibilities of day-to-day operations, will continue to provide valuable service to the organization as senior business manager Encoder Systems.
Sandvik Recognized for Documented Cost Savings Program
Sandvik receives Documented Cost Savings award, confirming the lean and sustainable mindset and principles that the company practices every day.
Stellar Industrial Supply recently recognized Sandvik Coromant with a Documented Cost Savings award at its annual “STARS” summit, confirming the lean and sustainable mindset and principles that the company practices every day. Accepting the award for the second year in a row was John Kaleta, channel relationships manager at Sandvik.
In 2019, Sandvik finished with $1,795,573 documented cost savings for the second-place award. For this achievement, Stellar Industrial Supply awarded Sandvik Coromant with $1,500 to donate to a charity of its choice.
According to Mr. Kaleta, “Sandvik Coromant is honored to be recognized as one of the two top suppliers for the 2019 Documented Cost Savings award. This acknowledgment confirms that the lean and sustainable mindset and principles our employees practice every day actively benefits our customers. We are especially proud to apply our winnings to the very deserving folks at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital of Tacoma. We look forward to continuing our efforts to document cost savings for our customers in 2020.”
