Sandvik Coromant Names Helen Blomqvist President

Sandvik Coromant has appointed Helen Blomqvist company president effective Dec. 1, 2020, succeeding Nadine Crauwels. As president, Blomqvist will be responsible for enhancing Sandvik Coromant’s position at the forefront of manufacturing tools, machining solutions and knowledge that drive the manufacturing industry forward. Blomqvist will report to Nadine Crauwels, president of Sandvik Machining Solutions, and she will serve as a member of the Sandvik Machining Solutions management team.

My focus will be to strengthen our role as market leader.”

Blomqvist joined the company in 2003 as a research engineer and has held various managerial positions in product management and R&D as well as sales, serving as the general manager for sales in Northern Europe. She holds two patents and was awarded the 2018 Sandvik Coromant Leader of the Year. She is currently the vice president for product management and R&D at Sandvik Coromant. Blomqvist is a Swedish national and earned a doctorate in structural chemistry from Stockholm University.
