Murata Machinery introduces the MW120II turning center. The machine features a high-speed, lightweight gantry loader that offers rapid traverse speeds in the X, Y and Z axes. Overall idle time reductions related to turret clamping/unclamping, chuck clamping/unclamping and higher-speed shutter doors have resulted in load/unload time reductions of more than 3 seconds per part. The flexible automation feature enables multiple machines to be combined into a single production cell, using common transfer, turnaround, and feeding units to service the machines.
