Allied Machine & Engineering Corp.’s Gen3sys XT Pro line of inserts and holders are high penetration drilling products that feature enhanced holders and inserts with three geometries, and two advanced coatings. The holder is designed to improve chip evacuation and coolant flow and is available in 3, 5, 7, and now 10 × D, the company says.

Insert geometries and coatings are tailored for performance in ISO material classes P (steel), K (cast iron), and N (nonferrous) and are available in diameters 11 mm-35 mm. According to the company, this line of inserts and holders can provide increased penetration rates and longer tool life for high penetration drilling applications.
