Houghton International has developed a cleaner to replace solvents in precision cleaning applications. Houghto-Rinse RTD is a water-based, non-flammable, ready-to-use cleaner that is designed to deliver good process performance and surface appearance in surface-finishing applications.
The product can replace highly volatile solvents in applications where flammability, health, safety and environmental factors are concerns. The cleaner is designed to remove surface residues prior to final inspection, assembly or packaging. The company says it is safe for use on all surfaces including aluminum, steel, magnesium, plastics, painted surfaces and fiberglass. Its cleaning effectiveness and non-residue properties make it suitable for critical cleaning applications where surface appearance is important, according to the company. The product is also low-odor and contains rust prevention properties.
