The Swistek RB42Y multitasking Swiss-type CNC lathe is designed for efficient machining of simple to complex parts smaller than 1 5/8”. With a FANUC 32i control, eight axes (including two Y axes), almost 40 possible tool positions (up to 24 of which can be live tools), along with an assortment of other live tool options, this machine can make almost any part complete in one operation, according to the company.

The CNC lathe also comes with two twin 10-hp spindles (hydraulic clamping main and sub) and built-in spindle chillers for optimal thermal stability. It is packaged with a chip conveyor, drainable chip cart, parts conveyor, mist collector, MPG handwheel, and FANUC Alpha Series drives that set it up for chip-to-chip time of less than a second, in many cases.
