Sapa’s Acc-U-Line series is the result of the fine-tuned alloy manufacturing process. The process delivers a consistent, more controlled grain structure, tighter dimensional tolerances and improved mechanical properties.

Sapa teams zeroed in on what factors influence machinability. The goal was to understand what affects chip formation on a microscopic level. Using this information, Sapa designed alloys and processes to produce optimal products for machinability. Key behind these improvements is indirect press technology. Indirect extrusion enables Sapa to consistently achieve a more uniform product from the inside out. Less pressure is needed to extrude a shape in the indirect mode. This results in less temperature variation over the full extruded length and more consistent dimensions, grain structure and mechanical properties.
