Engis Corporation’s FastLap lapping and polishing system has been engineered specifically to meet the demand for super-high finish lapping and polishing processes, which can achieve sub-0.1-microinch Ra finished lapped surfaces.

The systems, available in both table-top and floor-standing configurations, provide users with maximum efficiency and quality control, resulting in exceptional part quality, increased throughput and reduced per-piece finishing costs, according to the company. Built with heavy duty spindle bearings, these systems handle high download forces to 1,100 lbs, with a main drive motor rating from 1 to 7.5 hp, depending on the model selected. The soft-start ramp-up and variable speed drive allows for optimum lapping and polishing rates on thin or fragile parts, the company says.

These machines are available in models using lapping plates from 15” to 48” and can be customized to a variety of applications and specifications.
