Kaast Machine Tools Inc’s C-Turn CNC series features castings of high-tensile Meehanite iron for maximum vibration damping. The machines are manufactured in Taiwan, meeting BS EN ISO 23125 standards, and are said to be designed for quality, reliability, accuracy and performance.

These teach-style lathes have the ability to repeat long strings of directions for multiple reproductions. A Fagor 8055i/A TC control panel provides a conversational graphical interface that does not require the user to have a background in CNC programming or G-code, although PLC and ISO (G-code) are also fully integrated.

All slideways and drive elements are automatically lubricated and the undersides of the saddle as well as the cross slide are coated with Turcite-B to promote accuracy and prolong machine life. The main spindle bores range from 3" to 14" and are machined and ground from large, one-piece forgings. Double chuck systems are also available. The spindle and gears are made of carburized and ground CR-MO alloy steel. The three-point support on the spindle with two taper-roller bearing and one roller bearing is said to promote accuracy and rigidity. Optional automatic tool changing systems H4, V8 or V12 are available. The lathe series also includes a built-in tool library to facilitate tool management, and electronic handwheels for manual operation are also available.
