E-Z Burr’s Component Micro Series (CMS) offers efficiency all around by smoothly deburring and chamfering a range of micro sized holes in high volume production runs.

This tool was developed to save manufacturers time and money. It consists of a three-component design that is comprised of a toolholder, a solid arbor and a high speed steel (HSS) blade. This independent design allows for easy component replacement in which the solid arbor can be replaced without changing the blade, or the blade be replaced without changing the solid arbor. The blades and arbors can be changed while the tool is still in the machine.
Not only is it designed to deburr the front and backside of a hole in a single pass in seconds, but the blade or arbor can be changed in no time at all, the company says. The cutting angle can also be changed for more or less aggressive cutting.

The company offers coating the CMS blades, which is not available with the standard Micro Series that features a cartridge design.

Our standard cartridge-style Micro Series tools are still recommended to use on several applications. The main difference with this new design is for very high usage applications in which changing the blades or arbors only will provide a cost savings compared with replacing the entire cartridge.
One of the other benefits of the tool is its ability to deburr hard to reach or almost impossible-to-access holes. Tiny holes can become a bottleneck in the manufacturing process, and this tool, deburring holes in the size range of 0.057 (1.45 mm) through 0.092 (2.34 mm), will serve as an especially useful solution.

With this component design, the user can quickly and easily replace blades and arbors while the tool is still in the machine.
