Jomesa Filter Dispenser Maintains Membrane Cleanliness

Filter dispenser provides user-friendly, safe and easy way to retrieve clean individual filters for use.

Jomesa’s filter dispenser is designed to preserve filter members until needed for cleanliness analysis testing. According to the company, the dispenser preserves filters in a clean container which has a simple, sturdy design. The dispenser enables lab technicians to easily dispense one filter at a time, while keeping the other membranes in the container clean and protected from the lab environment. Jomesa manufactures the dispensers in a clean room, and each dispenser can fit a range of different pore size/quantity of membranes (100-piece, 500-piece or 1000-piece cartridges). Empty plastic cartridges can be recycled or returned to Jomesa.

German Machine Tools of America’s (GMTA) Niagara MO cleaning system is a two-tank machine that comes with a flood spray cleaning system and revolving wheel technology. According to the company, the optional ultrasound cleaning ensures a high level of cleanliness. The system is said to be well-suited for small parts in baskets or individual parts on workpiece holders and works well for workpieces with complex geometric shapes.

All processing steps take place in a chamber, which has a glazed door that allows operators to view the washing process. The Niagara’s cleaning technology includes a holding fixture that revolves or swivels around the horizontal axis designed to ensure thorough cleaning. Nozzle frames can be adapted to the workpiece, while the maximum permitted load and permitted dimensions are adjustable. In addition, bath monitoring can be applied to the washer. The compact machine’s footprint is 60 × 400 mm.

The machine’s process steps include washing spray cleaning, flood cleaning, injection flood cleaning and ultrasound cleaning. Subsequent steps include optional features such as demineralized water, drying with pneumatic pulse, hot air, circulating air, vacuum with infrared support, if needed. Other additional options and supplements include drying systems, handling systems, increased cleaning performance and increased spray pressure, bath maintenance and process reliability. Cascade guiding and floor drip trays are also available.

Kelch’s Kenova V3 series tool presetter features a modular, flexible design which is tailored to Industry 4.0 standards and can blend seamlessly into a modern Smart Factory. According to the company, it offers precise and durable operation, an intuitive and easy-to-operate interface, and a fully integrable system with flexibility due to many options. Its compact size measures 1300 × 540 × 1300 mm. It also has convenient axis positioning by pneumatically released rough adjustment and has hand wheels for fine adjustment. The set line V3 is available in three versions — manual, manual with CNC spindle (Autofocus) and fully CNC. The company says that numerous options enable users to configure the unit to meet their precise requirements. The standard SK 50 basic spindle fitted can be adapted to any other taper sizes as required. Optional tool clamping ensures that the tools are clamped into the spindle with approximately 250 kg, thereby improving process reliability and repeatability.

Jenfab Cleaning Solutions’ two cabinet-style parts washing systems — the Orca and the Avenger — are built for heavy-duty, industrial cleaning.

The Orca roll-in door parts washer is available in turntable sizes of 25", 31" and 36". Depending on the model, it can handle between 1,000- and 1,500-lb loads, while the roll-in door design saves space. The Orca comes standard with a built-in oil skimmer, automatic water fill, containment ring, low water shutoff and a multifunctional timer for 24/7 control of the oil skimmer and heater.

The Avenger is designed specifically for small shops, automotive repair facilities and cellular working environments to provide the power and convenience of an automatic parts washer without the mess and labor cost associated with manual systems or spray washing. It comes equipped with a 21" sprocket-driven turntable and is designed to fit into tight areas in facilities where floor space is at a premium. The Avenger comes in either 120 V or 230 V variations. Other features include a stainless steel cabinet, built-in “Y” fluid strainer, soaking reservoir, low-water shutoff, chip basket strainer, 60-minute timer and a removable water tray in base.

Productive Robotics’ OB-7 Offers Longer Reach

OB7-Stretch can tend multiple machines at one time when the robot needs to reach more than one machine and when the robot needs to reach deeply into a machine.

Productive Robotics’ OB7-Stretch is the fourth model of its next-generation teachable collaborative robots (cobots).  According to the company, this cobot is simple, affordable and has a longer reach to handle parts and machines with longer distances. OB7-Stretch is similar to the standard OB7 5-kg model, but has a longer reach of 1.25 m and a slightly lower payload of 4 kg. 

The company says its 7-axis cobot is well-suited for applications that require a longer reach for picking up a part or reaching deeper into machines, such applications in plastics molding, packaging and palletizing. In CNC machine tending, OB7-Stretch can tend multiple machines at one time when the robot needs to reach more than one machine.

OB7 is said to offer flexibility thanks to its seventh axis. Like a human arm, seven joints give OB7 the flexibility and dexterity to reach around objects or obstacles where others can’t. Unlike a human arm, each of OB7’s joints can rotate 360 degrees in both directions, which allows the cobot to work in more confined workspaces and areas that a six-axis robot can’t reach. While Productive Robotics has two larger models with longer reaches (OB7-Max 12 and OB7-Max 8), the company designed the OB7-Stretch to provide a cost-effective alternative to higher-payload and reach robots.

The company’s three other cobot models include standard OB7 (5kg payload and 1 m reach), OB7-Max 12 (12 kg and 1.3 m reach) and OB7-Max 8 (8kg payload and 1.7 m reach). Each cobot is built with seven-axis capabilities and a “no programming,” simple, teaching platform. The user simply shows OB7 how to do the job and OB7 learns — providing customers with ease of use.
