Company Profile

Ingersoll Cutting Tools has long been one of the world's leading suppliers of metal removal tooling. Since our first cutting tool patent in 1889, we have strived to provide innovative and productive metal removal solutions on the market.

We pioneered the development of indexable carbide tooling. We were the first to introduce the On-Edge insert configuration. We received the first patent for an indexable ball nose end mill and quickly followed with the first two-effective ball nose.

This innovative trend continues today with a comprehensive range of milling, turning and holemaking metal removal products. Our goal is to help you remain competitive in your rapidly changing manufacturing environment.

You can design the perfect shop, buy the most advanced machines and hire the best people, but the tooling is where the rubber hits the road. It all comes down to removing metal quickly and efficiently for the lowest total cost.

Ingersoll Cutting Tools is a member of the IMC Group of companies.

Modular tool system

Use Only The Carbide Needed
The cost of APT, a key ingredient in tungsten carbide cutting tools, has skyrocketed. In response to this situation and quick-change demands from its customers, Ingersoll Cutting Tools offers a modular line of solid carbide cutting tips that attach to reusable tool shanks.
