This system offers a programmed closed loop servo stage control, measuring edges anywhere on a part. It provides a clear, high contrast image with virtually no distortion, according to the company. The lens is telecentric and has a collimated profile (episcopic) illumination that matches the aperture of the optics over its entire zoom range.Â
Designed as a multi-sensor system, the system switches between video, touch probe and laser sensors to characterize a part. Feather Probe adds micro-probing capability with milligram-level probing pressure.
Software options offering contour analysis and fitting, CAD import and customized report generation and data export, are said to work with the company’s MeasureMind3D MultiSensor metrology software.
