Far West Oil Co. has introduced a new line of metalworking lubricants for high-speed machining of aircraft and aerospace alloys. KleenKut products are tightly bound emulsions and chemical emulsions that produce either opaque translucent or virtually clear, clean-use fluids.

Far West Oil Co. has introduced a new line of metalworking lubricants for high-speed machining of aircraft and aerospace alloys. KleenKut products are tightly bound emulsions and chemical emulsions that produce either opaque translucent or virtually clear, clean-use fluids. With the synthetic chemistry, these products provide for high “EP” characteristics, which normally are found in heavy-duty soluble oils, according to the company. They provide the rapid heat transfer that is necessary for high speed machining of hard metals. All products are bio-stable, using the company’s technology to control micro-bacteria and other forms of microbial attack. The products reject tramp oil, allowing clean coolant to be delivered to the chip/tool interface, keeping machine tools clean and residual film to a minimum. All the fluids utilize a synthetic extreme pressure technology to augment tool life and increase production. None of these products contain chlorinated halogens or added or active sulfur. The lubricant is formulated to be used on all stainless steel alloys, carbon steel alloys, titanium, abrasive cast aluminum, cast iron and virtually any ferrous or non ferrous metal, except magnesium, the company says.
