According to the company, the vertical design offers easier operation interface and facilitates tooling setups, and change-over timers are minimized. The vertical design also allows for flexibility when it comes to using live tooling for indexing or C axis.
The ZV CNC gang tool lathe joins a family of gang tool machines from 27 mm to 60 mm along with a group of CNC Swiss CNC lathes.
According to the company, the vertical design offers easier operation interface and facilitates tooling setups, and change-over timers are minimized. The vertical design also allows for flexibility when it comes to using live tooling for indexing or C axis. The machine offers 800 ipm of both rapid traverse and feed rates and an optional 1,181 ipm, 5-hp spindle and hydraulic collet closer runs at 6,000 rpm.
The 0.001" accuracy is standard with 0.0005" repeatability. An optional 0.0005" accuracy and 0.000025" repeatability is also available.
