Organizers for the 2022 Parts Cleaning Conference (PCC) — which was co-located at IMTS 2022 in Chicago on Sept. 13 — say they are extremely pleased with the conference results and the depth of cleaning education that was shared with attendees.

“We are thrilled with the outcome of this year’s Parts Cleaning Conference,” says Lori Beckman, PCC co-chair. “Holding it for one full day during the 2022 IMTS in Chicago allowed us to tap into a huge well of subject matter experts to present topics that are most relevant to machine cleaning professionals of all levels, across an interesting mix of industries.”

Organizers plan to build on the success of the PCC 2022 which included educational sessions that addressed a range of key topics — including the fundamentals of cleaning as well as upcoming environmental rules and regulations. Conference tracks consisted of Solvents & Chemistry, Technology & Process, Analysis & Special Applications, and Challenging Substrates.

In addition, there were 40 cleaning exhibitor companies showing their latest products and processes throughout the six-day IMTS event, which garnered more than 86,000 registrants.

“More than 100 people came together to learn, share their experiences and best practices, and find new connections with each other,” Beckman added. “It’s exactly what we hope each Parts Cleaning Conference achieves every year — personal and professional growth!”

The PCC was presented by Products Finishing, Modern Machine Shop, Production Machining, Manufacturing Cleaning Association, parts2clean and AMT — The Association for Manufacturing Technology. Sponsors included Brulin, Ecoclean, Jayco Cleaning Technologies, Kyzen and Sugino.

Debuting in 2010, the PCC has been the leading and most trusted manufacturing and industrial parts cleaning forum focused solely on delivering quality technical information in the specialized field of machined parts cleaning. Providing guidance and training to understand the recognized sets of standards for industrial cleaning, every year the conference showcases industry experts who present educational sessions on the latest and most pressing topics affecting manufacturing facilities today.
