Emco GmbH has named Markus Nolte, Ph.D., to serve as the company’s new CEO. The company includes 800 employees, five production sites and a global sales and services network.

 

Over the past 25 years, Nolte has acquired extensive experience in different management functions and industries, including serving as the CEO of a publicly listed supplier to the aerospace industry and as the head of sales and development at an international automotive supplier. Emag Group Building New Plant in Mexico

The Emag Group held a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony in June as it begins building a new plant in the San Isidro Business Park in Querétaro, Mexico. This marks the start of an ambitious investment program of the Emag Group in the region.

The new Emag plant in San Isidro is being built on a total area of 2,880 m². The production area is 1,800 m² and offers 30 machine assembly stations. In addition to the production hall, the new building includes office space on three levels with a total area of 1,200 m². The forum for customers, suppliers and employees with meeting rooms and a canteen is located on the third floor. On the second floor, the team offices for administration, quotation preparation, sales and engineering are planned. The first floor will house the service and production area, changing rooms and an air-conditioned measuring room.

Methods Machine Tools to Host Open House Event

Methods Machine Tools, a supplier of high-quality, high-precision CNC machine tools, automation and engineering services, will host Machine Fest on October 4-5 at its national headquarters. Machine Fest will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET each day at 71 Union Avenue in Sudbury, Massachusetts.

Methods Machine Fest is designed to demonstrate the full Methods experience, providing attendees with an up-close view of Methods’ entire portfolio of three- and five-axis CNC platforms, EDMs, multitasking lathes, automated and integrated solutions, services and support.

Mazak Event Will Showcase Advanced Manufacturing Technology

Mazak will host Discover 2023 the week of October 9-13 at its North American headquarters in Florence, Kentucky. Discover 2023 will feature four action areas of live machine tool demonstrations and highlight automation and advanced digital solutions designed to give manufacturers a competitive advantage. Discover will offer visitors the opportunity to experience and learn about a wide range of new Mazak multitasking, high production, advanced manufacturing technology and job shop solutions.

Schunk Partners With Ready Robotics to Develop Simulation Tool

Schunk has announced a partnership with Ready Robotics to develop the Automation Explorer simulation tool to support specification, deployment and redeployment of automated systems. Automation Explorer will enable users to virtually experience and interact with Schunk automation technology in an immersive and detailed, physics-based simulation tool.

Alro Steel Acquires Heimansohn Steel

Alro Steel has reached an agreement to acquire Heimansohn Steel in Clarksville, Tennessee. Heimansohn Steel was founded in 1896 by Lui Heimansohn, and owned by Curt and Lawrence Mize, representing the third and fourth generations of the family.

This purchase enables Alro to grow its customer base in Tennessee and Kentucky, while providing enhanced product offerings, processing and delivery for cut-to-order metals. The Heimanshon Steel facility and employees will continue serving customers under the Alro name.
