Open Mind Technologies USA will present HyperMill Maxx Machining, a set of high-performance strategies within HyperMill CAM for improved roughing, drilling and finishing.
Maxx Machining Roughing is a high-performance roughing module based on Celeritive’s Volumill toolkit. This module is designed to provide increased cutter life while reducing roughing times. It can be applied to 2D pocketing routines, 3D stock roughing and five-axis shape offset roughing.
Maxx Machining Drilling is a technique used to open holes for roughing using a five-axis helical drilling processes. It can use standard end mills, and avoids recutting chips, thus protecting the cutter.
The Maxx Machining Finishing includes a set of finishing operations focused on the application of conical barrel cutters. This can be applied to large planar surfaces found in mold tooling, as well as in aerospace structural components and other large ruled or sculpted surfaces.
