Modern Machine Shop has announced its 2022 Top Shops Honorees. Drawn from the annual Top Shops Survey, these honorees are said to represent the highest caliber of machining facilities. Each year, four standout shops are recognized for the Honors Program, one for each category the survey covers — Machining Technology, Shopfloor Processes & Practices, Business Strategies & Performance, and Human Resources. These shops are vetted by the editors of Modern Machine Shop and will be profiled in its September issue.

This year’s honorees are Rosenberger North America – Pennsauken (Pennsauken, New Jersey) for Machining Technology; Stecker Machine Co. (Manitowoc, Wisconsin) for Shopfloor Practices & Performance; KLH Industries (Germantown, Wisconsin) for Business Strategy & Performance; and A to Z Machine Co. (Appleton, Wisconsin) for Human Resources.

“These shops represent the future of manufacturing,” says Brent Donaldson, executive editor of Modern Machine Shop. “From innovative business practices to creative uses of machining technology, each of our Top Shops honorees has demonstrated an effort to consistently improve and a willingness to share and learn with others.”

The awards will be presented on the main stage at the International Machining Technology Show (IMTS) this year on Sept. 13 as part of the Top Shops Conference. The 2022 Honorees will also be part of a panel discussion where they will elaborate on ways they have improved as a shop and grown their business.

Modern Machine Shop is the flagship brand of publisher Gardner Business Media located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since 1928, Modern Machine Shop has focused on highlighting the application of advanced machining technologies by shops and manufacturers serving a wide range of industries.

The Top Shops Conference is an extension of Modern Machine Shop’s Top Shops Benchmarking program. The MMS Top Shops Workshop at IMTS connects leading machining and metalworking professionals to the people, products and processes that are moving manufacturing forward.
