Crowley Tool’s custom-inserted Hydromat dovetail recess tool now is available in a titanium version. The steel version of this tool weighs approximately 14 ounces, while the titanium equivalent (with a carbide insert) weighs only 8 ounces. According to the company, the durability of titanium enables the use of higher RPMs, yielding faster cycle times and reduced overall cost.
