Metal Finishing Products Offer Customization

Brush Research Manufacturing’s line of metal finishing products include the Flex-Hone tool, Nampower abrasive nylon disc brushes and miniature nylon brushes.

The company designed Flex-Hone tools to finish and deburr many cylinder types or sizes. These self-centering tools are said to conform to the bore surface and provide an even surface finish. They feature round, abrasive globules mounted to the end of flexible nylon filaments. The tool is available in nine abrasive types and 11 grit selections to customize the user’s surface finishing and deburring needs. Abrasives include diamond and CBN to finish harder materials.

The Nampower brushes are available in two standard configurations, dot and turbine style, for light and heavy deburring. The abrasive disc brushes integrate into automated machinery, CNC machining centers, transfer lines and robotic cells. They are available in diameters of 50 mm, 60 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm and 150 mm in grits of 80, 120, 180 and 320.

Miniature deburring brushes automate the process of removing burrs and producing an edge radius on small-diameter holes, which the company says improves product quality. Brushes designed for through holes (81 series) are available for holes as small as 0.032" (0.6 mm).
