FANUC Corp., a world’s supplier of CNCs, robotics and factory automation, has produced its 750,000th industrial robot, representing a milestone in the robotics industry. Currently, FANUC is capable of producing 11,000 robots per month in fully automated factories that use its own robots to make robots, controllers and machine tools that are said to offer reliability, precision, speed and easy operation.

Alro Steel Opens Ft. Wayne Outlet Store — Alro Steel opened an outlet location in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company says the 10,600-square-foot store carries a range of metals and plastics, and is open to the public. The outlet stocks a broad inventory of carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, tool steel, copper, brass and bronze in a variety of shapes, including rounds, flats, squares, hex, angles, channels, beam, pipe, tube, sheet and plate.

United Precision Services Named Romi Distributor — Romi Machine Tools USA has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with United Precision Services (UPS), which is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Under terms of the agreement, UPS will serve as the exclusive distributor for Romi's line of heavy-duty horizontal and vertical CNC lathes across the U.S. and Canada.
