Logan Clutch Corp.’s LoganNet WiFi and data acquisition software is an extension of the Logan brand of CS2001 and XT microprocessor controls that are used on 750 Acme, Davenport, New Britain and Wickman screw machines.

LoganNet Wi-Fi and software eliminates the need to hardwire each machine. The data acquisition software monitors the machine number, run time, cycle time, parts count — data which users can upload and export data right into their ERP system. Data is more easily acquired and monitored, leading to the opportunity for users to make better decisions on where they can increase efficiency and productivity.

The simple, microprocessor control capabilities range from monitoring the overall condition of the clutch (input speed, output speed, temperature, pressure, and condition of the clutch itself) to real-time access to clutch condition and data via laptops, USBs, and smart phones with WiFi capabilities. An optional color graphical display is available for machines not equipped with a machine-operator interface.

It can be used for road milling and grinding equipment,  dredging and trenching equipment, tub grinding and rock crushing equipment, and industrial and mobile equipment.

The company also  manufactures air threading clutches, hi-lo retrokits, pickoff drives, indexers and machine controls for new, rebuilt or in-production Acmes, Davenports, New Britain, Brown and Sharpe and other multi-spindle screw machines.

Today, lower part volumes and frequent change-over are changing the offerings of some automation integrators. Standard, off-the-shelf components are being engineered to work together in a large variety of applications and, in some cases, are even portable so they can be moved from machine tool to machine tool.
