Castrol expands its XBB range with the Hysol SL 45 XBB. Approved by Tier 1 aerospace OEMs, the fluid is designed for machining performance in a range of aerospace alloy-cutting processes. Lubrication enables longer tool life and higher surface finish while wetting properties help keep machines and parts free from swarf build-up.
The fluid is formulated without boron and biocides, yet offers pH stability and resist bacterial growth without sacrificing performance, according to the company. The cutting fluids can reduce biocide additive top-ups to enable longer life and reduce unpleasant odors.
