MachineMetrics’ Service application is a remote machine monitoring solution designed for OEM’s and equipment providers. This predictive application enables service teams to remotely monitor and manage machines in the field and at customer sites in real-time.
The company says that with this application, service managers and technicians can remotely monitor, manage, diagnose and resolve machine issues from connected equipment in the field and in real-time using the company’s cellular Edge device. This device can be installed or retrofit to any machine, according to the company. The device connects to the machine’s PLC and any additional sensors in the electrical cabinet of the machine and the collected data is shared with the equipment provider.
The data collected enables manufacturers to gain insight into an equipment’s health and condition, identify service opportunities with analytics and reporting, predict and deliver early warning of potential equipment failures, highlight elevated risk areas that lead to machine downtime and determine to take preventative action before it impacts a customer’s machine performance.
