A Special Message from CGTech (VERICUT)

Verify & Optimize NC Programs; Simulate CNC Machining with VERICUT® Software from CGTech

   VERICUT Software

VERICUT software is used to simulate CNC machining in order to detect errors, potential collisions, or areas of inefficiency. VERICUT enables NC programmers to correct errors before the program is ever loaded on the CNC machine, thereby eliminating manual prove-outs. VERICUT also optimizes NC program cutting speeds for more efficient machining

   VERICUT Composite Applications

VERICUT Composite Applications are machine-independent off-line programming and simulation software solutions for automated composite tape and fiber-placement CNC machines. There are three separate applications: VERICUT Composite Programming (VCP) and VERICUT Composite Simulation (VCS) are already released to the market. A third module, VERICUT Composites Paths for Engineers (VCPe) has all the features of VCP but is not configured to program a specific Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) machine. VCPe provides software tools to allow a design or production engineers to evaluate strategies and test the manufacturability of layup methods for composites parts.

   VERICUT Drilling & Fastening (VDAF)

VERICUT Drilling & Fastening (VDAF) is a software application for simulating and programming auto-drilling & fastening machines. VDAF is independent of both the machine and CAD system.

   Robots

VERICUT simulates six-axis articulated-arm robot motion from leading robot machine builders including Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Kawasaki, Motorman and others.  VERICUT also supports robots that have additional “external” axes. For example, robots mounted on a linear axis (or a part on a rotisserie axis) can significantly improve robot usefulness, reach, stiffness, speed, and accuracy. In addition to simulation, VERICUT can also be used to adjust motion and post-process for robots.  VERICUT computes joint positions from the incoming tool point commands and orientation, and then post-processes for the specific robot-language program. Most robots are programmed by “teaching.” Off-line programming is preferred when there are many motions, precise positions are needed, or the process must be controlled or traceable.

Company Profile

Headquartered in Irvine, California, CGTech specializes in numerical control (NC/CNC) simulation, verification, optimization, and analysis software for manufacturing. Since 1988 CGTech’s product, VERICUT® software, has become the industry standard for simulating CNC machining in order to detect errors, potential collisions, or areas of inefficiency. VERICUT enables users to eliminate the process of manually proving-out NC programs. It reduces scrap loss and rework. The program also optimizes NC programs in order to both save time and produce higher quality surface finish. VERICUT simulates all types of CNC machine tools, including those from leading manufacturers such as DMG/Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, and Chiron. VERICUT runs standalone, but can also be integrated with leading CAM systems such as Catia, NX, Creo Parametric, Mastercam, Powermill, EdgeCAM, Hypermill, GibbsCAM and more. CGTech also offers machine-independent off-line programming and simulation software for CNC fiber-placement, tape-laying, auto-drilling, and fastening machines. With offices throughout Europe and Asia, CGTech software is used by companies of all sizes, universities/trade schools, and government agencies.

Simulation and Optimization Software
Vericut 7.1 CNC machine simulation and optimization software features enhancements to reduce the time required for manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process.

Simulation Brings Software to Life
I still get excited when I see interesting enhancements to existing software or new software products that facilitate production improvements.

Optimized Code for CNC Machine Simulation Software
Vericut 7.0 CNC machine simulation, verification and optimization software features significant performance-improving enhancements that reduce the time required for manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process.

Software Enhanced to Read NX Part Files
CGTech offers new capabilities for users of Siemens PLM software’s NX CAM. Those who have the NX-to-Vericut interface can reference an NX part file within their verification session.

Software Update for Machine Simulation
CGTech has released the next major version of Vericut CNC machine simulation and optimization software. Vericut 7.

User Interface Improved
CGTech has enhanced the PRO/E-to-Vericut user interface, which gives Pro/E users an effective way to access advanced features in Vericut from within the CAD/CAM environment, the company says. It offers users of Vericut’s G-Code and Machine Simulation capabilities an easy way to configure simulations for complex machines and machining processes, the company says.

Machine Simulation And Optimization
CGTech's latest version of Vericut CNC machine simulation and optimization software, Vericut 6. 2, features several enhancements that increase the ability of manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process.

Latest Version Of CNC Software--CGTech
Vericut 6. 2 from CGTech features several enhancements that increase the ability of manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect and document the CNC programming and machining process. An NC Program Preview offers an option to process an NC program in Vericut without actually simulating material being removed.

Simulation Software Includes More Analyzation Tools
With CGTech's CNC machine simulation software, Vericut 6. 1, users can eliminate the process of manually proving out CNC programs. In this latest version, NC Program Review is integrated into the software’s main desktop.

Optimize The CNC Machining Process
Vericut 6. 0 features several enhancements aimed at enabling manufacturing engineers to simulate the entire CNC machining process. Using the software, operators can now view and configure multiple setups in one session and simulate machines with synchronized tools, spindles and auxiliary attachments.

Updated Program Generates Inspection Instructions
The newest release of Vericut software, version 5. 4, creates inspection instructions automatically, complete with in-process feature dimensions created during a simulation of the NC program. This helps establish a method to create and document inspection procedures.
