Mini-Feed Cutters and Inserts Allow Extreme Feed Rates
New Mini-Feed cutters and inserts–part of Dapra Corporation’s high-feed Rhino-Feed line–allow for feed rates as much as 5 times faster than normal in light-DOC applications. The Mini-Feed line is optimized for cuts of 0.500” to 1.000” diameter and a maximum depth of 0.030”, with inserts featuring three usable edges.
Precision Grinding and Deburring Tools
Biax hand-held, air-powered tools include lightweight grinders and variable-speed deburring machines. The SRD 3-55/2 and SRD 6-30/2 are ideal for grinding and shaping.
Expanded Toroid Cutting Tool Line
Dapra Corporation has almost doubled their offering of toroid cutting tools by adding 12 shell mills in ODs from 2" through 8". For maximum versatility, four insert geometries--round, square, high feed and octagonal--are available for toroid cutters. The new octagonal inserts have eight-sided geometry for excellent general face milling capabilities, the company says.
Prolong Tooling Life With New Tip Option
Dapra Corporation now offers optional PCD tips for its Backdraft and XPET inserts. Useful for mold and die operations, the company’s PCD-tipped Backdraft inserts are available in diameters of 1/2" and 3/4", with 1/32" and 1/16" corner radii and a usable leg length of approximately 1/8". The XPET inserts are designed for use with 90-degree square shoulder mills.
Modular Marking Machine
The Multi 4 marking machine is a modular marking machine available in four versions: a fixed benchtop version for small parts, a portable version for heavy or voluminous parts, a mixed (portable or benchtop use) for all sizes of parts and an integrated version for automatic marking in production lines. The marking machine can mark all types of parts and any surface that can be engraved, including treated or untreated steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, bronze, brass, plastics, wood and ceramics whether flat, concave or convex. The machine can mark figures, letters, logos, special characters and data-matrix of varying heights and depths with up to 1,000 possible settings and with no splitting of the material.
