FARO Handheld Scanner Enhances 3D Measurement Capabilities
FARO, a business unit of AMETEK Inc., introduces the HandyScan Black|Elite, a metrology-grade solution for precise and reliable scanning across diverse manufacturing applications.
FARO Technologies Inc. has announced the addition of the HandyScan Black|Elite to its product lineup as the first initiative under its recent strategic partnership with Creaform.
The HandyScan Black|Elite is a metrology-grade handheld solution built for accurate and reliable 3D measurement across various part sizes, surface types and materials.
The product will now integrate with CAM2 software, enabling existing FARO customers to remain within their native software ecosystem, while newcomers to the 3D scanning market can now use the software.
Following its acquisition by Ametek earlier this year, FARO, Creaform and Virtek now operate within the same division, the Ultra Precision Technologies Division. According to FARO, the introduction of the handheld scanner to the FARO lineup reflects the close collaboration between the two companies, with a shared focus on providing integrated solutions for the manufacturing sector.
