Rego-Fix AG has signed an agreement to acquire the majority equity interests of Swiss-based Gewitec AG, which is an established, global provider of standardized precision parts for the tool and machine industry and for OEM solutions. “Gewitec is an ideal fit for the Rego-Fix Group, and working with them will offer increased opportunities and synergies between the two companies,” says Richard Weber, CEO of Rego-Fix AG Switzerland. “Both share the same core values in terms of quality, customer service and Swiss-made precision.” Read more about this latest industry acquisition.

Weiler is a German manufacturer of precision flat-bed lathes, specializing in high-mix, low-volume jobs and long workpieces. Methods represents the company’s V-Series and E-Series lathes.
Xometry Acquires Thomas — Xometry, a global marketplace for on-demand manufacturing, has acquired Thomas, a provider of product sourcing, supplier selection and digital marketing solutions. The acquisition of Thomas is expected to rapidly expand Xometry’s buyer and seller base, enhancing Xometry’s global digital marketplace for manufacturers.

Allied Machine Donates Boring Tools to USS Pampanito Restoration — Allied Machine and Engineering recently donated various boring bars and inserts to be used with a 1954 Wohlhaupter boring head on the U.S.S. Pampanito restoration project. The Pampanito is a World War II submarine located in San Francisco which opened to the public in 1982. Since then, it has been the goal of the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association to return the submarine to the condition it was in when it left San Francisco’s Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in 1945.
