The Carmex H63 spiral thread mill is said to be especially useful in applications including hydraulic shale fracking, where the pump fluid end connection is critical. According to the company, the mill delivers high-cutting performance with minimal radial pressure, reducing deflection and harmonics. The combination enables high-feed rates, resulting in reduced cycle time and exact thread forms. The thread mill is available in varied thread configurations and the coated carbide inserts are designed for high-performance and longer tool life.
