MicroCare Corp. has hired Sheri Pear as the company’s first marketing communications specialist. In this newly created position, she will work with top management at the company—including manufacturing, R&D, advertising, product management, and sales—to deploy new marketing programs that will sustain and accelerate the rapid growth MicroCare has enjoyed over the past four years. Ms. Pear joins the company after holding similar posts at Cigna Insurance and Brady Corp., plus a long stint at AW Direct, a Connecticut-based distributor of towing vehicle accessories.

“In today’s marketing environment, it’s all about creating relevant, compelling communications, and Sheri is a very talented and creative writer,” says Guylaine Guerette, senior marketing manager at MicroCare. “Having Sheri on our team will allow us to develop brochures, specs and white papers that will help customers select the right products for their specific needs.”

Among her many tasks, Ms. Pear will support the diverse international marketing efforts at MicroCare. This includes creating sales literature and brochures in different languages, working with the Critical Cleaning Lab to prepare technical articles, developing copy for advertisements and videos, generating web content and press releases, and coordinating trade shows, all while adhering to intricate branding standards. This should not be a problem for Ms. Pear, who supervised a team of 20 writers and designers at Brady.
