Tornos Technologies has appointed Daniel Maerklin as the president of the company’s U.S. division, as of Feb. 1.
Mr. Maerklin has worked the past 14 years in the machine tool and metal-processing industries and brings strong leadership and market knowledge to Tornos. The bulk of his market experience has been with job shops and industrial segments such as medical, automotive and heavy equipment. Mr. Maerklin moved from Germany to the U.S. more than 10 years ago, first working for Trumpf Inc. as key accounts manager and then as president of the U.S. subsidiary of a German global supplier of machine tools and accessories in Chicago.
