Pascal Engineering’s swing clamp 7MPa model CTM has a built-in sensor that saves space, making it especially useful for small jigs, which in turn can save shopfloor space. Unlike external sensors that leave room for metal chips that can cause unclamping detection failure, the built-in sensor does not have a space where metal chip deposits can fall into and interfere with machining.
The CTM model is double acting with a three-point sensor that can detect clamping, unclamping and overstroke (incomplete clamping) with two circuits of air. It can prevent crashes, tool breakage and defective machining that occurs due to incomplete clamping. The sensor will alert the operator of the situation and allow them to correct it before proceeding. Manifold and G-port piping is available for the CTM, and it is offered in different stroke lengths and pressures to best suit an application.
